AI Assistant Integration
Vente + Claude: Connect Recruitment Lead Intelligence Through MCP
Last updated · Reviewed by the Vente AI team
Recruiters can connect Claude to Vente AI through Vente's MCP so Claude can work with authenticated Vente lead, hiring-manager and workflow data directly in conversation. Claude can read existing lists and leads, prioritise by Hiring Stress, retrieve hiring-manager details, request contact discovery and carry out supported actions such as lead triage and Vente Pipeline updates. Vente remains the system of record, and Claude becomes another interface into it.
Why connect recruitment lead generation to Claude through MCP?
Recruitment workflows become inefficient when consultants have to move between Vente, Claude and other tools by hand. A consultant opens a list in Vente, finds a lead, copies the company, job and hiring-manager details into the assistant, asks a question and then returns to Vente to act on the answer.
Connecting Claude to Vente through MCP allows the assistant to work with authenticated Vente lead and hiring-manager data directly in conversation, within the permissions of the signed-in user.
Claude becomes another interface into Vente, not a replacement for it. Vente still identifies the hiring activity, sources the likely hiring managers, scores each lead and holds the lists, lead statuses and Pipeline. Vente provides a remote MCP connection that can be added as a custom connector in Claude where supported. On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, an organisation's settings may need to permit the connector first. Setup steps are on the Vente MCP page.
What information can Vente expose through MCP?
The MCP can expose data from the user's existing Vente account, within that user's permissions. It does not give an assistant unrestricted access to the whole Vente database. Depending on the lead and the account, that data includes:
- lead lists
- list targeting, described in Vente as what_you_want
- job title, company and location
- job URL, and the job description where requested
- Hiring Stress
- relevance, or goal match, against the list's targeting
- hiring-manager name and title
- hiring-manager LinkedIn URL
- email address, when available
- contact discovery state
- pipeline information, where Vente Pipeline is enabled
When a hiring manager's contact details are not already available, they can also be discovered through Vente. That process is covered below.
How does this fit into recruitment business development?
The connection sits at the point where a recruiter reviews and acts on leads that Vente has already produced:
- Vente identifies relevant hiring activity.
- The likely hiring manager is sourced.
- The lead appears in the recruiter's Vente list.
- Claude accesses the relevant Vente data through MCP.
- The recruiter reviews, prioritises or actions the lead through conversation.
- Vente records supported actions such as triage or Vente Pipeline updates.
The goal is to reduce context switching and manual lookup. Finding the right leads is covered in recruitment lead generation, and the underlying data is explained in recruitment hiring intelligence. The MCP is the conversational layer on top of that.
What can recruiters do once Claude is connected?
Claude works with the lists and leads already in the user's Vente account. In practice a recruiter can ask questions such as:
- "Show me the highest Hiring Stress leads in London from my software engineering list."
- "Which leads from my FinTech list have hiring managers?"
- "Find the hiring manager email for this lead."
- "What should I focus on today?"
- "Move this lead to the next pipeline stage."
Supported capabilities include viewing existing lists, viewing team lists where permissions allow, filtering and searching leads within those lists, retrieving full lead details, and hiring-manager intelligence. Reporting covers team activity, lead usage and pipeline activity, subject to team permissions.
Can the AI assistant help prioritise leads?
Yes. Claude can use several signals already held in Vente to help a recruiter decide what to focus on:
- Hiring Stress
- relevance, or goal match, against the list's targeting
- job recency
- whether a hiring manager is available
- the list's targeting
If Vente Pipeline is enabled, the assistant can also retrieve the tasks due today. The recruiter still makes the decision: the assistant ranks and explains, using Vente's data. For the reasoning behind these signals, see how to prioritise recruitment job leads.
Can the AI assistant find hiring-manager contact details?
Yes, where supported by Vente's contact-discovery workflow. Claude can:
- see the hiring-manager details Vente already holds
- request email discovery
- request phone discovery
- poll until a result is returned
Contact discovery may use Vente lead credits, and it is not guaranteed to return an email address or phone number for every contact. For more on verifying contacts, see how to find and verify hiring-manager contact details.
Can the AI assistant update Vente?
Yes, for supported actions. Through the MCP, Claude can:
- mark leads as actioned
- reject leads
- reject companies, with explicit confirmation
- bulk mark or reject leads
- move leads between Vente Pipeline stages
- assign pipeline leads
- pause or resume lists the user owns
These actions happen inside Vente, and a reason is stored for actions such as actioning or rejecting a lead. Pipeline actions apply where Vente Pipeline is enabled and permissions allow. Sensitive actions, such as rejecting a company or pausing a list, require confirmation.
Does the MCP connect directly to external CRMs?
No. The Vente MCP does not directly search or update an external CRM, and it does not push leads into one.
If Claude separately has access to another connected system, such as the user's CRM, it may be able to combine Vente recruitment intelligence with CRM context, for example by checking whether a company from a Vente lead already exists in the CRM. That lookup depends on the CRM being connected to Claude on its own, not on the Vente MCP.
Delivering leads into a CRM is a separate Vente feature. See Vente's CRM and outreach integrations for the systems it supports.
Does the MCP reduce manual data lookup?
Yes. Without the connection, a consultant opens a Vente list, finds a lead, checks the hiring managers, reviews Hiring Stress and then returns to the assistant with the details pasted in. With it, Claude can request the supported Vente data directly.
That reduces application switching and manual context transfer. It does not change which data Vente holds. It changes how quickly a recruiter can get to it. For the wider workflow, see how to automate recruitment business development.
Can the MCP create new Vente lead lists?
No, not currently.
The current MCP is focused on working with existing lists, leads, hiring-manager intelligence, contact discovery, reporting, triage and Vente Pipeline workflows. New list creation and editing list targeting are not currently available through MCP. To create or refine lists conversationally, use Conversational AI inside Vente.
The Vente MCP also does not:
- search an external CRM directly
- push leads into an external CRM
- send outbound email
- run Spec CV matching
Does the MCP replace Vente?
No. Vente is still where hiring activity is found, hiring managers are sourced, leads are scored and lists are managed. The MCP gives Claude a way to read and act on that data in conversation, so recruiters can use whichever interface suits the task.
Frequently asked questions
How do I connect Claude to Vente AI?
In Claude, open Customize and choose Connectors, then Add custom connector. Enter https://app.vente.ai/mcp, connect, sign in to Vente when prompted, review the permissions requested and allow access. On Team and Enterprise plans, your organisation's settings may need to permit the connector first. The full steps are on the Vente MCP page.
What recruitment software supports MCP?
Vente AI provides a live MCP integration that allows supported AI assistants to work with authenticated Vente lead, hiring-manager and workflow data.
Can ChatGPT connect to Vente AI?
Yes, where the user's ChatGPT plan or workspace supports custom MCP apps. Vente provides a remote MCP endpoint and OAuth connection flow.
Can Claude connect to Vente AI?
